The Dallas, Texas-based company posted net income of $2.4m, overturning a hefty loss of $24.5m in the same quarter a year ago. It is the company’s fourth straight quarter of profitability.
Revenue for the quarter however slumped 22% to $64m, from $81.9m a year ago. The 2005 quarter was boosted by a one-time customer settlement of $8.5m and contract revenue of $3.1m.
Excluding these special items comparative revenue for the most recent first quarter would have been flat year-over-year, i2 said.
CEO Michael McGrath said the company would be detailing its next generation supply chain products at i2’s upcoming user conference, which he said will reshape the supply chain management market.
McGrath also announced that the company has replaced the head of its retail industry group via an internal promotion.
