Kyungki-do, South Korea-based HuneTec Co Ltd has shown its first Palm OS-based mobile computer. The HuneTec H500 uses the latest 32-bit OS 5 from Sunnyvale, California-based PalmSource Inc, but unusually for OS 5 machines it sports only a monochrome display.
This feature, however, is in keeping with its intended use. The H500 is designed to access Weblink Wireless Inc’s North American ReFlex pager network in a similar manner to Research In Motion’s original BlackBerry devices. The H500 also appears very similar to the BlackBerry, with a miniature Qwerty keyboard.
