As part of the agreement, Hummingbird will support the state’s Electronic Document and Records Management System (eDRMS) across its government operations.
The whole-of-government approach is intended to enable the standardization of business processes and improve consistency in information management. The eDRMS program is expected to facilitate state government agency compliance with regulatory requirements for records management.
The eDRMS is thought to be a key element of Queensland’s Shared Service Initiative, which aims to provide common information management technology for government departments and centralized support functions. The eDRMS will also be made available to Statutory Authorities and Government Owned Corporations (GOCs).
