Hummingbird Communications Ltd has released Genio Suite 3.1, the latest version of the transformation engine from Leonard Logic SA, the French software company it acquired back in March (CI No 3,617). Hummingbird, which recently divided itself into three divisions – Knowledge Portals, Decision Portals and Connectivity Solutions (CI No 3,727) – says Genio will be the centerpiece of its Decision Portals division, and claims the product’s data exchange and information sharing capabilities will differentiate it from the pack of more commodity-like business intelligence providers. It says the release is also a key milestone in its accelerated roadmap to develop a proposed Enterprise Information Portal product offering. The Genio Suite includes Designer, Engine, Repository, Scheduler, and metadata design tool, browser and connectivity bridges.
