Huawei will launch its next flagship smartphone in London on 15 April.

At an event in Shenzhen, the Chinese smartphone giant announced that enthusiasts will have to wait until 15 April for the next model, expected to be titled Ascend P8 and boasting a similar style to other phones in the series. An event in London will play host to the new device.

The news means the device will be notably absent from Mobile World Congress (MWC) in March. Huawei has already announced it will be releasing a line of wearable devices at MWC, including a smartwatch powered by Google’s Android Wear. The company will also make a leap into the fitness market with a flagship smartband.

Among the products listed above, 2015 can expect to see the latest editions of Huawei’s Honor series and G/Y series, as well as tablets from its M-series and X-series.

The telecoms company recently posted a 17% rise in operating profit in 2014.
