Greenleaf Capital Corp, a privately held financial services organization is to merge with Austin, Texas-based computer data security company, Clearview Technologies Inc. Established in 1993, Clearview has three products; Datalock designed to protect telecommunications networks, Apocrypt, for the encryption and decryption of information on compact discs and digital video disks, and DJ Player, which enables music distributors to control and secure the electronic distribution of new song titles. The products haven’t yet gone to market, but Clearview’s chief executive officer Richard Wachs says the company will now have enough funding behind it to bring its products to market and substantially expand from its current position as a four person operation. Under the terms of the agreement, Clearview will become a majority shareholder in Delaware-headquartered Greenleaf.
