The tool is called Measure map and helps bloggers analyze how their blog websites are being used by tracking visitors and their activities. The tool, which is built using a combination of HTML and Flash on the client, also traces the origin of links to blogs from third-party websites.
Measure Map is Adaptive Path’s first commercial software product.
Adaptive Path’s founder Jeff Veen, who is also product director for Measure Map joins the Mountain View, California-based Google.
This is Google’s second major analytics play following the launch of its free Web analytics service, which is based on technology acquired from Urchin Software Inc last year.
