Google has introduced its second smartphone – new Nexus S, which comes with new Android 2.3 gingerbread operating technology.

The new smartphone is also referred to as Nexus 2, which has a clear 4" AMOLED screen to ensure more luminance than LCD displays traditionally found on many Smartphone.

The device comes with new Touchscreen sensors making the multitouch keyboard experience better; anti-fingerprint display coating; 1GHz Hummingbird processor for multi tasking, web browsing and gaming experience via a dedicated graphics processor.

In addition, the new smartphone features a dedicated Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) makes playing video games, viewing images and watching videos a much better flow and richer experience; 16GB memory to store music, photos, videos and games.

However, there is no expansion card slot for a memory card.

The company said that the Nexus S comes with future technology advances including the new NFC wireless payment technology.

The technology allows user to read information from smart tags or objects that have NFC chips.

The gingerbread supports internet calling with its inbuilt SIP stack allowing user to access VOIP from contacts, dialer or the quick contacts tab.

Further, the new smartphone features include: navigation, 3D landmarks and Streetview from the Google and a 5 mega pixel back and front facing lens with LED flash.

The Nexus S WIFI hotspots can act as a 3g connection router for portable WIFI device for up to six portable devices such as notebooks, tablet PCs and once connected these devices will have access to internet with no added carrier fees.

Google said that the new Nexus S is available to order on O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone, and on Pay As You Go from carphone warehouse and its subsidiaries like mobiles.co.uk.
