Demand for wireless solutions is expected to increase in coming months as companies seek new technology to improve productivity and customer satisfaction. Cahners In-Stat Group predicts that the number of wireless data users within the enterprise will grow to almost nine million by 2003. Through Siebel Wireless and the Go.Web platform, companies will be able to use wireless hand-held devices, PDAs and notebook computers to obtain remote wireless access to Siebel eBusiness Applications – including Siebel Sales, Siebel Field Service, Siebel Financial Services, Siebel ePharma, Siebel eCommunications, Siebel eEnergy, and Siebel eAutomotive. Siebel Systems’ customers will be able to securely access critical customer and account information, such as sales opportunities and order details, service requests and activities, calendar and contact information. Additionally, the combined solution will enable Siebel Systems’ customers to access their corporate data and intranet, send and receive email, and browse the Internet through Go.Web.
