Texas-based secure information exchange offerings provider GlobalSCAPE has launched CuteBackup to provide data backup and recovery protection for home and small business users.
The new data backup and recovery software offering complements the company’s managed file transfer offering CuteFTP.
Powered by Paragon Software Group’s Backup and Recovery 10 Suite, CuteBackup also provides ‘Boot Corrector’ protection that can reboot the system and subsequently correct most common issues if the computer crashes and fails to restart.
The new offering also features automated backup routines for schedule backups to "set it and forget it"; selective restore for selecting individual files and folders in the restore wizard; and is compatible with Windows operating systems, including Windows 7.
GlobalSCAPE executive vice president of sales and marketing William Buie said whether one is trying to restore financial records, business files, a decade worth of family vacation photos, or music library, complete recovery following a catastrophic loss of data can be nearly impossible if safeguards like CuteBackup aren’t in place.
"With so much valuable information stockpiled on computers, it’s important to take steps to protect your data. GlobalSCAPE’s CuteBackup is a simple, affordable way to do that," Buie added.
