Cape Visions, which operates out of Brookline, Massachusetts, develops web-based business process analytics, simulation and forecasting software which 360 plans to embed as part of its BPM suite.

Cape Vision’s flagship offering is Vision Manager, which is best described as a workflow-oriented business intelligence system that collects and presents statistics on operational processes and data and provides tools for forecasting what-if scenarios.

Global 360 aims to deliver a complete 360 degree view of enterprise business processes. Its suite leverages a myriad of technologies including content management, goal management, process modeling, and now – courtesy of Cape Visions – process optimization.

According to Michael Cronso, president of Dallas, Texas-based Global 360, the need for comprehensive BPM support is certainly growing.

Process analysis is becoming a key component of an end-to-end BPM system.

Cronso said Cape Visions analytics technology will enable a real-time view of complex process workflows across a chain of applications.

Global 360 and Cape Visions are privately-held firms. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Cape Visions’ President Robert Shapiro will join Global 360’s executive team.

Global 360, which changed its name from eiStream Inc last month, has around 5,000 customers using its BPM software.
