The company said the new offering can optimize processes spanning multiple workflow, process execution, and transaction environments. Global 360 said BOS, which is architected to integrate disparate workflow and legacy enterprise applications, is also the only offering that provides modeling, simulation, run-time performance management, and process analytics based on BPM standards.

Global 360’s BOS is architected to leverage disparate workflow and legacy enterprise applications giving customers the flexibility necessary to work more efficiently, and ultimately improve their bottom line, said Michael Crosno, president of Global 360.

The product will enable users to analyze why business objectives are not being met; create an end-to-end view of business processes; set Key Performance Indicators and manage process behavior; analyze the potential impact of changed business processes on business efficiency and productivity before the change takes place; and document existing business processes and their interdependencies.

There are four main components to the BOS. The Process Sketchpad is the tool for drawing high-level business process models using the standard Business Process Management Notation. Processes modeled in the Sketchpad can be exported to standard XML Processing Description Language 2.0, and then imported into the BOS Process Simulator for what-if analysis and forecasting, and to the G360 Process Modeler for process-definition and execution.

The company said Process Simulator is a forecasting tool for exploring what-if scenarios via process simulation, while the Analysis Engine provides drill-down and slicing and dicing from various perspectives for process analysis and reporting. Historic and real-time data is organized in a multi-dimensional fashion based on OLAP technology.

Finally, the Performance Management Center is the BOS management tool for gaining visibility into all aspects of the business process: consisting of a set of configurable browser-based dashboards, the Performance Management Center provides statistics on workloads, productivity, goal attainment, and key performance indicators, enabling visibility and operational control.

Global 360 is headquartered in Texas with operations in North America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim. The company said it has particular strength in financial services, government, and insurance, and has over 2,000 customers in 134 countries. Competition in the BPM space is stiff, with competitors including Metastorm, FileNet, Pegasystems, Tibco, Fuego, Savvion, IBM, Lombardi, Intalio, and others.
