Following months of extensive evaluation Boots has confirmed that Ge. cache will be the service provider for its new Wellbeing centres.

The initial contract is to supply the systems for Boots’ three trial sites, the first two of which opened in Boots’ Kensington High Street and Milton Keynes shops last week. The trial sites are aimed at proving the Wellbeing concept prior to a future national roll out.

Ge.cache is providing its specialist Leisure Management System which will deliver the following key services:

Tracking all usage of Wellbeing centres

Controlling bookings for all activities eg: treatments such as facials and shaves, therapy sessions such as osteopathy and physiotherapy and advisory consultations.

Integrating with the Boots Advantage loyalty card scheme and Boots’ point of sale systems

Ge.cache will generate its income from licensing its specialist software to Boots

Boots announced last week the establishment of a number of Wellbeing Centres. These sites will either be incorporated into some of its larger retail sites or developed as dedicated facilities. The concept is that Boots will take a more holistic approach to the health, fitness and lifestyle of their customers. The centres will provide a whole variety of services including gyms and fitness classes as well as therapies and treatments from osteopathy, chiropody to beauty treatments, weight and stress management and holiday vaccinations.
