Genpact, a provider of managing business processes, and Hello Communications, a 100% subsidiary of Hikari Tsushin, have signed a multi-year services contract, to provide services ranging from customer service and finance and accounting to IT infrastructure support and back office processing.

All these services will be offered from Genpact’s delivery centres in China. Genpact said that the agreement would enable Hikari Tsushin to provide cost effective services from China to its customers in Japan while enabling the company to make forays into the fast growing China market.

Shigetaro Toyoda, CEO of Hello Communications, said: “The integration of the sales and marketing skills of Hikari Tsushin and Genpact’s best-in-class services will enable a faster time-to-market and lower operating costs.”

Mitsuru Maekawa, CEO of Genpact China, said: “We are happy to work with Hikari Tsushin Inc. and help them in their goal of reducing costs, improving efficiency and delivering better value to their customers. This venture also allows us to build further scale and competencies in the areas of finance and accounting, IT infrastructure support and customer service for the Chinese and Japanese markets.”
