Gateway 2000 Inc has introduced another internet access option that comes bundled with its personal computers and is now offering unlimited access for $16.95 a month. This offer comes with its Solo 2300, 5100 and 9100 laptop PCs. Last November the company began offering bundled internet access at $12.95 a month for up to 30 hours, with each hour thereafter costing $2.95 on its G-series and GP series PCs, Destination big screen PCs and digital media computers. The company’s gateway.net service also offers 20 hours for $9.95 per month and remote access plans from $6.95 per month. The North Sioux City PC maker will not divulge the real internet service provider behind all this – it’s trying to make out that it is all its own work.
