Future Sex magazine has gone on-line and introduced its own unique brand of sex talk on the WELL. The high-tech erotic magazine is currently hosting more than 50 on-line discussions on subjects that range from fantasies to safe sex. The WELL, short for Whole Earth ‘Lectronic Link, is a computer conferencing system with what it calls intelligent, eclectic conversations and sense of community. Users of the WELL can subscribe to the service and gain access to the Internet and a wide variety of discussion groups by using a modem and home personal computer. Some of the highlights of the Future Sex conference so far have included discussions on top locations, best sexy music, fantasy partners, safe sex, sex education, pornography in the media, and taboos. The discussions have ranged in tone from steamy to philosophical and analytical. Like great sex, the key to a great on-line conference is spontaneity and variety, said Lily Burana, editor of Future Sex magazine and host of the conference. No subject is off-limits and our conference members – from school teachers to strippers to futurologists – approach each topic with great erotic gusto. This is the first of many new media frontiers that Future Sex plans to explore. Future Sex magazine claims to be the only publication that is truly committed to the exploration and expansion of the future of sex and technology in our culture today. The magazine is published four times a year by Kundalini Publishing in San Francisco and issue number seven is set to hit the stands this September. If you want to find out more you can join the Future Sex conference by sending your electronic mail address to Future Sex magazine at futursex(AT)well.com.
