Fujitsu Espana SA has officially announced its figures for the 1992-93 tax year: turnover equivalent to $218m with losses of $34.7m. The company, which has been in Spain ever since 1974, is budgeting for turnover of $211m this year, and cutting losses to $21.7m, and the company is hoping to return to profit in 1994. The operation accordion, announced by Fujitsu Espana’s president Hideo Mita, to absorb 1992’s losses, will involve an injection of up to $24m of new of capital. Mita commented that his strategy for the years to come was to increase Fujitsu’s efficiency, and to stabilise staff numbers.
