The European arm of Fujitsu Ltd is to ship multimedia PCs pre-installed with both Be IncÆs BeOS and Microsoft Windows 98, aimed at the PowerPC/PowerMac markets. At the CeBit trade show in Hannover the company unveiled its Silverline PC, which has a boot-manager to choose an OS before booting up. It runs off two 500MHz Intel Pentium III processors. The machine also looks different to regular PCs – it has an aluminum cabinet, and a graphic equalizer display to show how much processing time is available. Fujitsu intends to ship the Silverline range in May. The machines will only be available in Europe at first, although Japan is very interested and the US could follow said a company spokesperson.
