Frame Technology Corp, San Jose reports that FrameMaker publishing software is now available for the Open Look graphical user interface – FrameMaker 2.1 for Open Look will run under Sun Microsystems Inc’s Network-extensible Window System, and there’s a companion Frame Viewer 2.1 for Open Look for efficient on-line viewing and distribution of FrameMaker documents; FrameMaker costs $2,500 for a floating licence that can be shared across a net; it will be out in first quarter 1992; Frame Viewer for Open Look is out now for $400; there’s also now a version of FrameMaker and FrameViewer 3.0 X for workstations from Hewlett-Packard Co, which runs under the X Window System and OSF/Motif, and versions for Digital Equipment Corp workstations are promised for first quarter of 1992; 3.0 X is also $2,500 for a floating licence.
