Jens Montanana has left his position as managing director of the UK division of modem manufacturer US Robotics Inc to form a new company – Xedia Corp – with former Octocom chief executive, Ian Davison. The new company, about which little is currently known, is to be based in Boston, Massachusetts, and will specialise in local network infrastructure equipment incorporating Asynchronous Transfer Mode technology. According to US Robotics, Montanana’s departure was planned, and over the last few months his successor, Clive Hudson, has been taking over the management role. Hudson has been the UK subsidiary’s sales and marketing director for the past two years, since its formation following the US company’s takeover of Miracom Ltd.
