Team scheduling app Resource Guru is set to integrate with iPhone and Android calendars after an $870,000 investment round.

The cash will fund two new engineers to work on the update, which will also integrate Resource Guru with Outlook, Google and other calendars after users asked the firm to make it possible for them to rely on just one diary.

Co-founder Andrew Rogoff told CBR: "It just makes it much easier. Also people will see their Resource Guru events amongst their existing normal appointments so it will tie everything nicely together.

"One of the big advantages is that it gets it straight onto the phone as well, in an app that everybody uses, which is their normal calendar."

Resource Guru first launched in 2012 after three years of development, and now boasts customers including Saatchi & Saatchi, Vodafone and Intel, whose employees use it to schedule meetings and keep track of what projects staff are working on.

The update is expected to be released by July, if not sooner.
