The TSTAR Internet acquisition, combined with the acquisition of Momentum Online in October 2007, provides ERF greater market share in the geographic area covering five counties of central Texas, including Llano, Burnet, Gillespie, Blanco and Comal counties, and adds 55 tower locations to its 78 towers in Texas.

It also provides the company access to more than 22,500 businesses, 550,000 residents, and 36 regional and community bank charters aggregating 462 branch locations. Following this acquisition, ERF becomes the largest provider of wireless broadband in Texas with 10,000 customers.

Both TSTAR Internet and Momentum Online have built first-class networks and have achieved solid reputations with their respective combined customer bases of more than 5,500 customers and over $2,400,000. said H Dean Cubley, chairman and chief executive at ERF Wireless.

ERF has already acquired eight wireless internet service providers (WISP) to offer nation wide services. These include Home Wireless Company of Kemah, VectorLink of Alpharetta, Windstream Corporation and Southwest Enhanced Network Services, 36db.com, 802DSL, and Beacon Network. The company’s first acquisition was Eagle R F International in October 2004.

In similar acquisitions, Colorado-based Wisper Telecommunications acquired wireless internet service providers KLNT Enterprises and Path / Broadband Services in March 2007 to extend its services in Colorado.
