enCommerce Inc, the Santa Clara, California access control software firm, expects to double its customer base through a contract to supply its getAccess web site access management software to Visa International. getAccess, which will replace an in-house system at Visa, customizes content to meet the user’s privileges and standardizes administrative control across a range of financial products.

The Visa deal opens up new markets vertically and geographically for the privately-held enCommerce. It hopes that Visa’s customers who benefit from the getAccess software when using Visa’s online services will invest in the software directly for their own operations. enCommerce expects to win between 50 and 100 new customers from the transaction processing market and from the South-East Asia region, to add to its existing 50 customers world wide. getAccess costs between $70,000 and $80,000 for 3,000 users.
