Eastman Software Inc, the Eastman Kodak Co software subsidiary, has launched a new set of collaborative workflow management products built around Microsoft Corp’s Exchange. The new product, Work Management, combines Eastman’s existing WorkFolder workflow, document management and imaging software with Microsoft’s Exchange messaging platform. The three components have been renamed WMX, DMX and Imaging Professional. The deal isn’t the first between the two companies. Eastman is the owner of the Imaging for Windows accessory included in Window 95 and NT 4.0, originally written for Microsoft by Wang Laboratories Inc. Wang sold its imaging software division off to Kodak in January 1997 for $260m (CI No 3,089). WMX came out at the end of January, Imaging Professional is due next month and DMX will be out in the second quarter.
