German enterprise resource planning developer Infor Business Solutions AG has recorded earnings before tax for the first half of 1999 up 515% at DM4.8m ($2.6m) on revenue growth up 88% at DM52.9m ($28.3m) over the same period last year. The Saarland-based software company, which made its debut on the Neuer Markt’s NEMAX-50 index on May 11 (CI No 3,661). Given the company’s rate of growth, the projected FY1999 sales target of DM122m ($65.3m) currently looks well within reach.

The results cap a productive year to date for Infor, which has also made its first entry into the US ahead of schedule. Infor is now set to accelerate its international expansion through an aggressive acquisitions policy. The company, which currently has around 300 employees, is reportedly in advanced discussions with four such targets at this moment.

Infor sells its Infor.NT ERP package to small and medium-sized manufacturing firms which require enterprise software capable of running on Microsoft’s main PC platforms (Windows 95, 98 and NT).
