Allaire Corp, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based web application platform vendor, has reported record financial results for its second quarter ending June 30 1999. Revenue for the quarter was $13.1m up from $4.8m for the three months ended June 30 1998. Allaire recorded a net loss for the quarter of $2.9m compared with $3.8m for the same period last year. Revenue for the six months was $21.8m, up from $8.9m in 1998, for a loss of $5.5m compared with a loss of $7.9m this time last year. The results were restated to include the results of Allaire’s recent acquisitions of Bright Tiger Technologies Inc and Live Software Inc. Both purchases were accounted for as a pooling of interests.
