Online game publisher electronic Arts (EA) currently not developing any games for Nintendo’s Wii U console, neither any developers are involved in developing future game titles.

Despite the early commitment, the online publisher will not be developing Wii U versions of its big gaming franchises including Battlefield 4, Madden and Fifa, according to Kotaku.

Since the launch of the console, EA has developed versions of Mass Effect 3, Fifa 13 and Need for Speed Most Wanted.

The game maker however has not ruled out developing Wii U game in the future.

Recently, EA ditched its controversial Online Pass programme upon receiving negative responses from the players.

The programme was aimed at locking several gaming titles, which would enable second-hand games to be fully played only after buying a code from EA to unlock online add-ons.

In addition, EA has collaborated with Walt Disney to create games for mobile devices, PCs and consoles based on the ‘Star Wars’ movies.
