During the fourth quarter that ended December 31, 2000, DoubleClick TechSolutions reported revenues of $61.5 million, a sequential increase of 15% and signed 252 new clients worldwide including BBDO Canada and Sears Online. For the full year, TechSolutions revenues grew 172% to $203.4 million from $74.7 million in 1999, and for the first time TechSolutions revenues exceeded DoubleClick Media Revenues, highlighting the growing importance of this business to DoubleClick overall.
TechSolutions had a particularly strong quarter for sales in Asia-Pacific (APAC), signing 39 new clients overall, while posting 2000 revenues that are five times higher than revenues for 1999. In China, the top three portal sites are all using DART (Dynamic Advertising Reporting and Targeting), including Netease, the #1 portal site. In addition, DoubleClick TechSolutions signed Zenith Media, the largest media buying agency in Hong Kong, representing more than 50 advertisers and the Digital Edge, which brings together over 1,500 media professionals in 86 offices, across 24 countries.
