DnB NOR said that it believed the acquisition would help it to become an international supplier of e-commerce services. The company expects to be able to offer its customers a wider variety of improved payment services.
Netaxept and Paynet already share a number of customers and the acquisition will result in improved services for customers and facilitate web-shop services, said Hans Petter Evensen, managing director of Netaxept.
DnB NOR will continue to use EDB’s solutions for banking applications and customer channels. The two companies will continue to cooperate on the development and use of banking solutions.
