Dell has introduced new ‘Z’ model laptops, Inspiron 14z and 15z. According to the company, the new laptops are its the thinnest-ever models and are about 1-inch thin.

The new laptops run on the new Intel Core 2 Solo processors. The users also have a choice of Core 2 and Core 2 duo processors. Inspiron 14z and 15z features include: 16:9 displays in 14-inch (14z) and 15.6-inch (15z) models, up to 500 GB hard drives and 8GB RAM, and Wi-Fi and optional mobile broadband. They join the recently introduced Inspiron 11z.

The company added that the new laptops offer a choice of four-cell (4-hour) or six-cell (8-hour) batteries and its ‘Express Charge’ technology allows four- and six-cell batteries to be 80% recharged in 60 minutes.

Dell also unveiled the new Studio XPS 8000 desktop PC, with worldwide availability. The new desktop includes a choice of Intel’s latest desktop processors, the Core i5 Quad Core and Core i7 Quad Core, and a 3D graphics bundle to provide gaming capabilities.

These new, thin, lighter-weight systems offer all-day performance with the latest Intel power-saving processors.”

The Inspiron 14z and 15z are available in black or cherry red at retail prices starting from $599 upwards. Presently, it is available at the company website and will be available worldwide in the coming weeks.
