Maynard, Massachusetts-based Digital Equipment Corp will unveil new versions of two AltaVista Security products for iAPX-86. AltaVista Firewall and AltaVista Tunnel will now be available for new operating systems, including Windows NT. Both products had previously been available for Digital Unix. AltaVista Security products enable users to protect private networks from the Internet and create secure virtual private networks over the Internet; AltaVista Firewall for Windows NT and BSD/OS is available immediately at prices ranging from $4,000 for 50 users to $15,000 for an unlimited number of users. AltaVista Tunnel for Windows NT, BSD/OS and FreeBSD personal edition will cost $100. Workgroup editions will be $1,000 to $2,500, depending on the number of users to be supported.
