Fairfield, New Jersey-based Datatec said it would acquire 100% of the capital of Toronto, Canada-based Millennium for an undisclosed sum. The company specializes in providing helpdesk services with its own proprietary technology including Incident Care, its hosted automation application that speeds up the processing of queries and transactions across the internet, and this is implemented with its outsourced helpdesk and customer support service Enterprise Care. The company claims to be providing services to more than 140,000 users across 70 countries worldwide.
Datatec said the I-Care technology would be implemented with its own eDeploy and IW200 web-based automation tools, to improve the response time to IT problems. Datatec said it would rebrand the new outsourced service as Asset Guardian, which it plans to launch in 2004.
