The Toronto-based provider of data integration software says it extended the bi-directional replication capabilities of its iReflect server for Oracle Applications running on AIX 5L on IBM Corp’s System I platform.
The upgrade is targeted at Oracle business applications customers merging or migrating their Oracle databases to System i environments.
DataMirror’s iReflect software is designed to provide master-to-master bi-directional replication and change data capture capabilities Oracle environments. The software works by mirroring Oracle transactions from primary to secondary systems in real-time and offers workload balancing failover capabilities for performance and continuous availability.
IBM and DataMirror have been close partners for over a decade.
In a separate announcement DataMirror also expanded the event detection capabilities of its Transformation Server, adding support for Java Messaging Services queues to trigger integration across multiple applications.
With the addition of JMS, DataMirror says its event-driven data integration now supports all the leading messaging infrastructures.
