SAS has expanded its multi-purpose, predictive analytics software, bringing individual products into the Predictive Analytics Suite, increasing analytic bandwidth from data discovery to model deployment.

The Predictive Analytics Suite takes advantage of multiple paradigms — interactive visualisation and exploration, visual programming, and the ability to extend with code — in an integrated fashion.

SAS said that its suite features new statistical desktop offering, JMP Pro, that brings analytic results to business analysts.
The new addition to the suite, Enterprise Miner, facilitates collaborative and repeatable data mining processes; and Model Manager centrally manages and monitors predictive assets.

The company said Predictive Analytics Suite’s Scoring Accelerator lets users deploy models directly within database or data warehouse environments; and Analytics provide an integrated environment for predictive and descriptive modeling, data mining, text analytics, forecasting, optimisation, simulation, experimental design and more.

SAS and Teradata have enhanced the Analytic Advantage Program, with the addition of four new capabilities to enable companies to meet their analytic requirements in an environment that can scale up from idea stage to development, deployment and management of analytic models and processes.

SAS said the availability of the Analytic Sandbox Appliance, enables both companies’ customers to create an independent analytic environment to perform accelerated analyses prior to deployment in their production enterprise data warehouse.

The new enhanced programme enables firms generate predictive models in an automated fashion and gives customers the flexibility to build and run their analytic models without technical limitations.

Teradata chief development officer Scott Gnau said companies now have exactly what they’ve asked for from the Teradata-SAS partnership: approaches that help them get up and running quickly for short-term analysis, testing and prototyping as well as departmental or enterprise-class analytic projects that combine tools, processes and a platform to migrate those projects to full operational implementation."
