CyberDefender, a provider of PC security solutions has entered into a partnership with Decho, an EMC company, to offer Mozy online backup service to current and potential CyberDefender customers.

The companies said computers are vulnerable to hard drive crashes, virus attacks, theft and natural disasters, which can erase everything. Mozy onine backup saves up all the important data on the computer and a copy of it is stored in a secure, remote location for safekeeping which can be retrieved even in case of any disaster.

This new partnership expands CyberDefender’s suite of security-related products, which now includes PC online backup.

Gary Guseinov, CEO of CyberDefender, said: Decho’s best-in-class Mozy online backup rounds out CyberDefender’s product line and we believe a growing number of customers will make this part of their best practice approach to security.

Dave Robinson, vice president of marketing for Mozy at Decho, said: Combining our two companies’ advanced technologies is a major step in the fight against identity theft, data corruption and catastrophic data loss as a result of spyware, viruses, hard drive crashes and theft.”
