Composite Software has entered into collaboration with HP to deliver data virtualisation middleware and services to ease global enterprises facing complex information challenges.

The collaboration combines Composite’s data virtualisation middleware and services with HP Business Intelligence offerings to enhance the delivery of real-time intelligence for complicated supply chain, risk and customer environments.

Through the collaboration, both the companies’ consultants will have the necessary offerings to design information delivery method, a physical data warehouse, a virtual data view or a combination of the two for enterprises facing a range of business decisions from short-term ones in call centres to long-term strategic ones affecting global inventory delivery systems or energy production uptimes.

Christian Nall, EVP field operations of Composite Software, said: “Together, Composite and HP have been trusted advisors for organisations needing to optimise information access. The combined expertise and technology offerings will allow organisations to derive even more business value from all of their information assets while reducing their information-related costs.”

Composite said that, with its Composite Information Server, it will provide customers with a means to virtually integrate critical enterprise data that resides outside their HP Neoview advantage enterprise data warehouses. In combination, the virtual data integration and physical data consolidation enable enterprises to achieve cost reductions across their entire information infrastructures.

Giuliano Di Vitantonio, head of marketing and alliances for business intelligence solutions at HP, said: “Large organisations and governments face increasingly complex information challenges. These are coupled with the need to deliver faster time to value, reduce costs, and remain flexible to changing demands. Composite and HP offer enterprise-class and industry-specific business intelligence solutions to help customers be more dynamic.”
