San Jose, California-based Cypress Semiconductor Corp has a dual-speed 10/100Mbps Ethernet transceiver said to enable high-speed data transfer over existing category 3, 4 and 5 unshielded twisted pair cable. The unit supports 100Base-T4 Fast Ethernet standard, along with 10Base-T and 10Base-T full duplex. Samples will be available this quarter, priced at ú17 for 1,000-up.
