SOTI today announced the general availability of its latest Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform, SOTI MobiControl 12.

The latest version aims to reduce costs for businesses through increased efficiency and extend the remote management capabilities to smart peripherals.

In workplaces that encourage employees to make use of their own smartphones and tablets – a trend known as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) – EMM platforms provide centralised security and control of these devices, in addition to the apps and data they work with. SOTI itself serves over 14,000 enterprise customers and manages millions of devices worldwide.

Key features of the new offering include minimising commonly repeated tasks and closer integration with third party devices, such as Apple and Zebra. MobiControl 12 also incorporates MobiControl Stage, which allows for immediate ‘out-of-the-box’ setup by streamlining the configuration process.

"We’ve reduced the overall total cost of ownership and nearly eliminated the provisioning costs for mobility with MobiControl 12. This delivers a value proposition to businesses that can’t be matched," SOTI CEO Carl Rodrigues said.

He added: "The ability to manage the overall workflow across an entire organisation while also offering end-user benefits means that businesses utilising MobiControl 12 will not only save money, but they’ll have more productive and more secure employees. Ultimately this allows businesses to use a robust mobile strategy to drive improved customer experiences."
