Under terms of the deal, El Segundo, California-based CSC will take over the management of the IT infrastructure and network support services for Textron over the next 10 years, including its global data center, help desk, network operations, mainframe and midrange systems, desktops, and engineering workstations. The deal will involve 250 Textron staff transferring over to CSC.
This is the second billion-dollar deal CSC has signed this month, adding to its $1.35 billion 10-year contract with Ascension Health. CSC is managing IT operations for 32 Ascension Health ministries and 80 facilities, which includes help desk, network, security and telecommunications services as well as server, mainframe, and desktop computing.
