CSC is part of the MemberHealth Inc team, which will administer one of 10 national drug benefit plans under the 2003 Medicare drug legislation.

CSC will provide support services, such as call center operation, enrollment processing, and financial management. The company will also handle compliance and reporting services in accordance with federal privacy and health care regulations.

Some 260 CSC call center workers and 80 IT and Medicare specialists will contribute to the program.

The contract comes on top of a $46m deal signed in 2004 in which CSC worked with MemberHealth on a pilot drug program. The Solon, Ohio-based MemberHealth group includes the National Community Pharmacy Association and outreach and education provider Ameri-Life and Health Service.

CSC also announced two contracts to contract to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center. The first of these contracts is for the Corona division of the program and is worth as $161m, including one base year and four one-year options.

The contract covers engineering, technical and operational support services, and about 300 CSC specialists from different fields will work on the program. The deal is incremental to a $268m task order for the same Navy program.

The second award covers work for the program’s Dahlgren division in Virginia. It is potentially worth an estimated $123m and includes a three-month base period and six option periods over five years.
