Cray Research Inc will spin off its EnSight engineering post-processing software package to a new company, Computational Engineering International Inc, formed by former employees to develop, support and expand the market for the software, currently up only on Cray supercomputers. Cray retains 30% of the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina company. The distributed engineering package is used to display and manipulate results of big computational analyses.
