Tinton Falls, New Jersey-based Concurrent Computer Corp is finally shipping its Series 7000 family of single and multiprocessor real-time comp uter systems based on the Motorola 68040 and Concurrent’s RTU version of Unix. The Series 7000 is claim ed to be the only 6U VMEbus stand ard form factor product out suppor ting three tightly coupled multi processing 68040 CPUs. It runs Re lease 6.0 of RTU, which adds fre quency-based scheduler and supports disk mirroring, dual porting and disk striping, and fast asynchron ous traps. No prices were given.
