COMPUTER FACTORY – SHUNS BAY STREET – MERGES WITH COMPUCOM

At last Elmsford, New York-based personal computer dealer Computer Factory Inc has come to a decision on the $34m bid for its business from the Bay Street Group of San Francisco – the answer is no. Instead, the Factory has announced that it is merging with Dallas, Texas-based computer reseller CompuCom Systems Inc. CompuCom will acquire Computer Factory for $39m in cash.
