Computer Factory Inc, Elmsford, New York plans to lay off over 300 employees and to close 23 of its 54 stores in an effort to return to profitability: the US-wide retail chain is pulling back into its fastness in dhe north-east region of the country; the company agreed to be acquired by CompuCom Systems Inc of Dallas, Texas in November.
