It is claimed that the latest version of ClearCommerce Engine 5.2 uses a rules engine to screen any credit card number, email address or IP address to identify repeat occurrences across a series of order transactions. The system also works with Verfied by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode payer authentication programs for use with point-of-sale payment checks.
Austin, Texas-based ClearCommerce raised a further $3m last April in a round of venture funding led by Austin Ventures, bringing the total invested in the company to nearly $60m.
