Cisco Systems Inc’s agreement with Chipcom Corp boosts its strategy of creating a broad market for its products and keeps it abreast of the Wellfleet-SynOptics duo say analysts: Cisco and Chipcom have agreed to joint development, sales and marketing, including plans to work together to make their switching products interoperable; Wellfleet Communications Corp and SynOptics Communications Inc, rivals in internetworking products market, announced merger plans this summer.
