Following the release on Android, the Chrome Remote Desktop app is now available on iOS. This will allow users to access their home PC and MAC using their iOS devices.

The app has been available on Android since last April, and now allows users to remotely access files and applications using both Android and iOS devices.

For the first time, users will be asked for authorisation and, to add an additional layer of security, users will be able to able to add a PIN which will protect their system even if the account is compromised.

Chrome Remote Desktop will also facilitate computer-to-computer access, which is designed to securely access files from one machine to another.

The Android version of the app has an average of 4.4 stars among users, and it is expected to make the same impact in iOS, reported The Verge.

The free app is available for download at the Chrome Web Store.
