The proposed levels that the government wishes to allow are nearly half of what other nations permit. This could cause a big problem for mobile phone manufacturers, who will have to change entire production lines to accommodate for the proposed changes.
Industry officials believe this move could cost phone manufacturers millions of dollars and network operators in excess of $2 billion.
