Contel Corp, Atlanta, has agreed to sell its Executone telephone and intercom manufacturing unit to Vodavi Technology inc of Scottsdale, Arizona for about $60m: the sale will lead to Contel taking an after tax charge of about $17m with Contel’s fourth quarter 1987 figures.
