Cellnet has barred radio frequency from Manchester-based service provider Excell Communciations, cutting off around 12,000 customers from Excell, which went into receivership last week: Excell customers on the Cellnet network are automatically put through to a Cellnet hotline when they try to make calls and are provided with a list of alternative Cellnet service providers; Cellnet says its actions are within the terms of the contract and despite the fact that Excell’s receivers are negotiating with a buyer, there’s no guarantee that we’re going to get money for people with phones using our network.
